The executive director of America Rising, a conservative political research organization, told Breitbart News Daily host Matthew Boyle that Democrat Hillary R. Clinton lost to President-elect Donald J. Trump because voters were uncomfortable with her corrupt dealings between the Clinton Foundation and the State Department.
“The intersection of money and politics is where the Clintons lived and it was not pretty,” said Colin Reed, a Massachusetts native who has done campaign tours of duty with W. Mitt Romney, Scott P. Brown and New Jersey Gov. Christopher J. Christie.
“America Rising PAC was set up in Spring 2013 to serve as an organization on the right for the sole purpose of exposing the truth about Democrats through video tracking, research, and communications. By cataloguing every Democrat utterance we have the data to ensure they are held accountable for their words and actions,” according to AR’s website.
To better facilitate reporters and operatives accessing their research, America Rising hosts specific webpages dedicated to each Democratic candidate they are tracking.
Reed told Boyle, who is the Washington editor of Breitbart News, that in the wake of the 2016 election cycle, the Democratic Party is without leadership and in the midst of a divisive civil war that will not be resolved soon.
“What a difference two weeks can make,” he said.
“Two weeks ago, Hillary Clinton’s staffers were literally popping Champagne and planning a fireworks celebration,” he said.
Going back to the Gallup polling of the former first lady’s favorable-to-unfavorable ratings with the voters, there was a huge movement away from where she was the day she first announced for president, Reed said.
“It was a 50-point swing in her net favorability,” he said. “In my opinion, the biggest reason for that–more so than the emails–more so than anything else, was the Clinton Foundation.”

Reed said he gives Citizens United big props for helping to expose what was happening at the Clinton Foundation because they supported the legal battles that led to America Rising exposing the pay-to-play arrangements at the foundation.
“We quickly found out why they were taking such pains to hide the emails from the public,” he said. “Because the details were so damaging.”
