Spitzer Mistress to Be Outed?

Roger Stone, the Richard Nixon loyalist who has long feuded with former New York governor and current comptroller candidate Eliot Spitzer, tweeted Monday that an alleged current mistress to the politician would be revealed Tuesday.

Stone first tweeted that Spitzer’s “goumada” (mistress) will be “exposed tomorrow.” He then tweeted, “Married Spitzer current GF outed tomorrow. But does she dig the black socks?”

Spitzer had to resign as governor in 2008 after he was caught soliciting prostitutes as “Client 9” and is attempting a political comeback. Stone also has ties to libertarian comptroller candidate Kristin Davis, the former madam who went to jail and is alleged to have provided Spitzer with his high-end prostitutes.

Stone fired off his tweets days after reports indicated Spitzer’s wife would file for divorce after the campaign and on the day Spitzer’s campaign announced it hired Lis Smith, an online rapid response specialist for President Barack Obama’s 2012 reelection campaign. Spitzer had already brought on Hari Sevugan, another veteran of Obama’s 2012 campaign.

Breitbart News’ Mary Chastain reported that Spitzer’s wife, Silda, was “upset he decided to run for comptroller” and only consented to his run days before his announcement this month. Less than a month after Spitzer entered the race, the New York Post reported, “Silda is telling her female friends that she is done with him. She will file for divorce after the [Nov. 5] election.” Spitzer’s wife has also reportedly told friends, regarding Spitzer again bringing his family–and his past misdeeds–into the spotlight, “This is too hard. This is too rough.”

Silda Wall Spitzer, who stood next to the disgraced former governor when he announced his resignation, went to Harvard Law School and worked at prestigious New York law firms like Skadden. Spitzer and his wife are reportedly living apart, with his wife living with their three daughters.
