Poll: Obama's Highest Disapproval Rating Is on Immigration

Americans disapprove of President Barack Obama’s handling of immigration more than any other issue, according to the most recent Economist/YouGov survey.

In the poll, which was conducted October 4-6 and has a margin of error of +/- 4.4 percentage points, 53% of Americans either strongly disapprove or somewhat disapproved of Obama’s handling of immigration. Here are the percentages of Americans dissatisfied with Obama’s handling of other issues:

The economy: 51% disapprove

The environment: 42%

Terrorism: 46%

Gay rights: 40%

Education: 41%

Health care: 49%

Social security: 45%

The war in Afghanistan: 42%

The budget deficit: 51%

Taxes: 45%

Medicare: 43%

Abortion: 47%

Foreign policy: 49%

In addition, half of the country views Obama unfavorably, and a majority (51%) disapprove of his performance in office–while only 43% approve. Obama recently delayed his executive amnesty because of the public’s discontent over immigration. Illegal immigration became one of the top priorities of Americans after Breitbart Texas published leaked photos of illegal immigrants being warehoused in detention centers.
