It can hardly be called a ‘blitzkrieg,’ or lightening war, as Hillary Clinton has already been around forever, while showing no signs of going away; however, as Maggie Haberman points out in Politico, Hillary is upping her offense, whether you like it, or not.
Hillary Clinton has mapped out much of her political schedule through Election Day, an itinerary that focuses on helping Senate candidates and includes trips to a half-dozen states, including Kentucky and presidential early states Iowa and New Hampshire, according to details obtained by POLITICO.
The plan, which could see adjustments and additions as races hit critical points in the coming weeks, was the product of close work between Clinton chief of staff Huma Abedin and the Democratic campaign committees.
What remains to be seen is if Hillary Clinton can make everything old new again … or if a new generation of Democrat voters weened, not on her husband Bill, but on Barack Obama and Elizabeth Warren will come to view her as simply too old in the end.
Clinton will return to Iowa to help Democratic Senate hopeful Bruce Braley and congressional candidate Staci Appel, who is vying to be the first woman House member from the state.
She will also seek to help incumbent Democratic Sens. Kay Hagan in North Carolina and Mark Udall in Colorado and candidate Michelle Nunn in Georgia. And she’ll travel to New Hampshire for an event for the all-women statewide ticket featuring Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, a longtime friend, and Gov. Maggie Hassan.
Instead of heading to Arkansas, where Bill Clinton is going next week to help their longtime friend Democratic Sen. Mark Pryor and where her efforts could be redundant, she currently has no plans to head there but will host a fundraiser for Pryor in New York City next week.
