Report: Hernandez May Have Killed Victim Because He Had Information About 2012 Double Murder

Former Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez may have killed Odin Lloyd because Lloyd had information about Hernandez’s role in a 2012 double murder for which Hernandez may now be a possible suspect.

According to the Boston Globe, “investigators now believe that Odin Lloyd, the man Hernandez is charged with killing in a North Attleboro industrial park June 17, may have had information about Hernandez’s role in the double slaying.”

“The motive might have been that the victim knew [Hernandez] might have been involved,” the official told the Globe.

Hernandez was charged with the murder of Lloyd on Wednesday and pled not guilty. His potential involvement in the 2012 double murder is being investigated. Two men sitting in the front of their car were killed when occupants of a car pulled up and opened fire on July 16, 2012. A third person, sitting in the back seat, survived.
