James Holmes a Ph.D. Neuroscience Student

Mass murder suspect James Holmes, who is alleged to have shot some 54 people and killed 12 at an Aurora, Colorado movie theater showing The Dark Knight Rises, was a Ph.D. student at the University of Colorado-Denver, according to the university. He had started the program last year in neuroscience.

Holmes reportedly lived in student housing for the University of Colorado. His apartment has been booby-trapped with explosives and flammables so “sophisticated” it may take police days to dismantle.
