Obama Laments Student Loan Debt, the National Debt- Not So Much

President Barack Obama lamented on Tuesday that that the average student loan debt was $26,000. But Obama has expressed no such consternation or urgency about the national debt.

As CNS News noted, Obama increased the national debt by $5 trillion,  but he griped about the average student loan debt increasing by less than a thousand dollars per college graduate in the past year.

Consider that the average citizen is now liable for $50,859 of the nation’s debt, thanks to Obama’s reckless fiscal policies. More incredibly, the average taxpaying citizen’s share of the debt, according to CNS News, is now a whopping $139,939.

As CNS News notes:

On Jan. 20, 2009, when Obama was sworn into office, the national debt stood at $10,626,877,048,913.08, according to the Department of Treasury. By Aug. 17, 2012, the national debt had increased to $15,962,054,850,397.97, according to the Treasury Department – an increase of more than $5 trillion in less than four years.
