Gas: $1.88 When Obama Was Elected

A gas station in the Chicago suburb of Lombard featured a little reminder of what it was like four years ago when Obama was first elected to the White House. The station held a special sale of gas at $1.88 per gallon, the price gasoline was in 2009 when the President took office.

The October 5 event was sponsored by Americans For Prosperity and was held at the Road Ranger station in Lombard, a north western suburb. The $1.88 sale price was set to highlight Obama’s failures in office.

David From, the Illinois State director for AFP, told the media that the event was part of AFP’s Obama’s Failing Agenda Tour.

Mr. From pointed out that prices have more than doubled since Obama took office and the President is “standing in the way” of new oil drilling in our own country.
