Poll: Americans Trust GOP Congress Over Obama On Guns

In a Quinnipiac University poll released today, President Obama has lost whatever edge the media still pretends he enjoys over Republicans on the overall issue of guns. Only 42% of voters trust Obama on the issue of guns, compared to 44% for congressional Republicans.

The whole idea behind Obama’s recent gun grab has nothing to do with gun control. The president is merely doing what he does at every opportunity, and that’s to find whatever cultural wedge issue he can to divide the American people in the hopes of winning back the U.S. House of Representatives in 2014.

Handguns are the primary cause of murder in America, but what Obama has targeted are weapons owned primarily by rural conservatives who live in red states.

The Newtown massacre was something Obama and his media immediately exploited with this mercenary goal in mind. But this poll shows things might not be working out exactly as planned.

Furthermore, with any hopes for gun control legislation fading fast, it looks as though the entire plan failed miserably.

Interesting how little play this particular poll is getting in the “objective” media. And by “interesting,” I of course mean “predictable because the media is filled with left-wing liars and hacks.”
