CA Pushes Bill to Let Boys Use Girls' Bathrooms Based on 'Gender Identity'

California Assemblyman Tom Ammiano (D) has been a busy beaver since the beginning of the latest legislative term. First, he helped author a “Homeless Bill of Rights” preventing police from arresting vagrants or clearing public areas of their trash and guaranteeing their right to “access public property, possess personal property, access public restrooms, clean water, educational supplies, as specified, emergency and nonemergency, health care, confidentiality of medical records, assistance of legal counsel in specified proceedings, and restitution, under specified circumstances.” Now, he’s pushing a bill that would allow public school students to pick the bathroom of their choosing based on their “gender identity.”

Assembly Bill 1266 would force boys athletic teams to accept girls if those girls identified as boys, or vice versa. It would force schools to allow boys to use girls bathrooms if they identify as girls, or vice versa.
