Ft. Hood Sexual Assault Prevention Chief Under Investigation for… Sexual Assault

According to USA Today, a Sergeant First Class in charge of sexual assault prevention at Ft. Hood is being investigated for sexual assault and for running a prostitution ring.

The solider, whose name is not being released, oversaw sexual assault prevention for “about 800 soldiers.”

He has yet to be charged, but authorities say the investigation revolves around charges of “abusive sexual contact, pandering, assault and maltreatment of subordinates.” This includes “forcing a subordinate into prostitution and sexually assaulting two others.”

Pentagon officials speaking anonymously said the soldier is also under investigation for running a prostitution ring.

Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel expressed “frustration, anger, and disappointment over these troubling allegations and the breakdown in discipline and standards they imply.”
