Study: Premiums Could Jump 40% Under Obamacare

While President Obama and his minions in the Democratic Party claim that health care premiums will drop under Obamacare, the opposite is true, according to a new study from the Milliman consulting firm. The study showed that health insurance premiums could skyrocket 40 percent thanks to Obamacare, and that the premiums would jump most for young, healthy men – which makes sense, since Obamacare is a redistributive scheme designed to tax the healthy on behalf of the unhealthy. If you buy a bare-bones plan with high deductibles, you will get hit harder in order to pay for comprehensive coverage for those who are ill.

The most heavily regulated states are the ones least likely to see premium hikes, since they’re already hiked. New Jersey will see its costs fall in all likelihood thanks to Obamacare. But in states like Florida and Ohio, premiums could jump more than 50 percent for those catastrophic healthcare insurance plans.

Milliman said that the states are counting on taxpayer dollars subsidizing those who will see their premiums rise. Which merely means more debt, more borrowing, and an unsustainable fiscal path for another monstrous entitlement program.
