Defense Calls Multiple Witnesses to Testify That Zimmerman Was Screaming

On Monday, the George Zimmerman defense team called a series of witnesses to testify that it was indeed Zimmerman screaming for help on the 911 call made by a neighbor during the fight between Zimmerman and Trayvon Martin. Zimmerman friend Sondra Osterman said, “Yes, definitely, it’s Georgie.” She further stated that she didn’t hear “ill will, hatred, or spite” – the legal necessity for a second-degree murder charge – in Zimmerman’s voice during his own 911 call in which he lamented “these a**holes, they always get away.”

Osterman’s husband, Mark, who was also called by the state, was also called to testify about Zimmerman’s weapon, which he advised Zimmerman on buying and with regard to which he helped Zimmerman obtain a concealed carry permit.

Geri Russo, another Zimmerman former co-worker, testified that it was Zimmerman’s voice screaming on the 911 call. So did Leanne Benjamin, another friend of Zimmerman’s.
