A bill to ban abortions after 20 weeks and strengthen the medical safety standards of abortion clinics is before the Texas state Senate Friday for debate and a vote. The Senate debate is being watched closely following a previous special session vote that was filibustered by state Sen. Wendy Davis (D). An unruly mob of abortion supporters rioted the gallery when the filibuster ended and blocked the senate vote.
After the state house passed the bill on Wednesday, more mayhem broke out among pro-abortion activists. According to LifeSiteNews, state troopers removed and arrested five protestors from the gallery.
Abby Johnson, a former Planned Parenthood abortion executive who is now pro-life, tweeted Friday that pro-abortion activists were planning to “flash their lady parts” at the capitol.

Kristan Hawkins, director of Students for Life in America, also told LifeNews in an email:
Make no mistake about it: I believe what is happening right now in Austin is spiritual warfare. Our students and staff have endured it all this week: discrimination by the YMCA, bus breakdowns, a hit-and-run on one of our rental vehicles, threats from pro-abortion supporters at the capitol, technology failures, and illness.
And despite the fact that our team has only been getting about 3 hours of sleep a night and is exhausted from being outside in the 100 degree heat for 12+ hours a day, today is the most important day of our week as the pro-life omnibus bill has passed the House and is going to the Senate for a final vote. Because they are so desperate, Planned Parenthood, NARAL, and other pro-abortion forces are preparing for a war at the Texas state capitol today.
Lila Rose, president of Live Action, which has conducted numerous undercover investigations to expose the late-term abortion industry, said:
Right now, in many cases across the country, it’s easier to be an abortionist than it is to run a daycare center. Governor Perry and the Texas legislature should be commended for taking a step toward rectifying this bizarre and dangerous defect that endangers the lives of both women and children.
As exposed by our Inhuman video series, so many abortion centers throughout our nation currently do not have emergency medical arrangements with local hospitals or other urgent care facilities. No matter where you stand on the issue of abortion, this sort of laxity and disregard for women’s health is outrageous and unacceptable.
Everyone should support putting necessary medical protections in place and enforcing top-quality standards of care for women and children.
