Global Warming Advocate: 'If You Threw Out Last Year,' Arctic Data Would Fit Narrative

Even though the amount ice in the Arctic Ocean has increased from last year, a global warming advocate said evidence still points to a global warming trend–if last year’s numbers are thrown out.

According to the Associated Press, the “minimum level reached this summer is about 24 percent below the 20th Century average, but 50 percent above last year.”

Mark Serreze, the director of the National Snow and Ice Data Center, though, said last year’s data should be discounted in discussing what he has conceded was a “considerable recovery” in ice levels.
