Obamacare Website to Shut Down Nightly for Repairs

Obamacare Website to Shut Down Nightly for Repairs

The federal government’s busted Obamacare website now has a banner running atop the page announcing that the site will be down nightly from 1 a.m. to 5 a.m. EST.

“The Health Insurance Marketplace online application isn’t available from approximately 1 a.m. to 5 a.m. EST daily while we make improvements,” reads the banner announcement. “Additional down times may be possible as we work to make things better. The rest of the site and the Marketplace call center remain available during these hours.”

A Bloomberg analysis finds that the broken Obamacare website and its supporting IT infrastructure cost taxpayers over $1 billion

The Associated Press reported on Monday that at least 3.5 million Americans have received health insurance cancellations due to Obamacare.

Obamacare will cost American taxpayers $2.6 trillion over the next 10 years.
