Colorado Gun Control Group: We Will Not Back Down

On Novemer 18th, Members of Colorado Ceasefire, an anti-gun organization, gathered on the steps of the state capitol to say “[they are] not backing down.”

According to the Colorado Springs Gazette, members of the gun control group realize the ground they gained earlier this year began to deteriorate with the successful recalls of State Sens. John Morse (D) and Angela Giron (D). They fear that if the current recall effort of State Senator Evie Hudak (D-Westminster) is successful, all the new gun control laws passed in Colorado may be overturned.

Colorado Ceasefire president Eileen McCarron said, “I expect there will be a bill to repeal everything we’ve done. [There will be] a rollback effort.”

McCarron said it was “a sad day when Morse was ousted from office.” She said Colorado Ceasefire is currently “donating money and time to keep Hudak in office.”
