Organizing for Action Pushes Gun Control on Sandy Hook Anniversary

Organizing for Action (OFA) is asking supporters nationwide to hold “anniversary events” on December 14th to mark the heinous crime at Sandy Hook Elementary.

OFA wants enough events held in towns and cities across America to show Congress it is time “to finally take action to make our communities safer” by passing new gun control laws.

According to The Hill, Republicans are expressing their frustration with the Obama administration’s continued exploitation of the Sandy Hook tragedy.

Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) said: “What I don’t think is constructive is what the president is doing right now. …Within minutes of that horrible tragedy in Newtown the president began trying to exploit [it] to push a gun control agenda that is designed to appeal to partisans.”

Senator Mike Lee (R-UT) said it is “deeply unfortunate” that Obama continues to use the heinous crime at Sandy Hook “as a backdrop for pushing legislation that would have done nothing to prevent” the crime from taking place.
