Boehner: GOP Men Need Sensitivity Training on Women's Issues

House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) thinks Republican men in Congress need to be more sensitive to female candidates and issues.

“We’re trying to get them to be a little more sensitive,” Boehner said on Thursday, according to The Hill. “You look around the Congress, there are a lot more females in the Democratic caucus than there are in the Republican caucus. And some of our members just aren’t as sensitive as they ought to be.”

Boehner was responding to a report about how the National Republican Congressional Committee is tutoring male candidates to run more effectively against female candidates in order to avoid being labeled as “war on women” candidates.
