Mark Levin: Republican Study Committee 'a Joke' After Anti-Conservative Purge

On Thursday, conservative talk radio host Mark Levin said the Republican Study Committee (RSC) is now a “joke” under Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA), who did the bidding of the Republican establishment and fired the conservative Executive Director Paul Teller on Wednesday.

Levin had previously said Scalise was House Speaker John Boehner’s (R-OH) “lackey.”

Levin mentioned that 66% of the RSC members voted for the budget deal in the House that Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) and Sen. Patty Murray (D-WA) brokered. The agreement increased spending beyond sequestration levels.

“This RSC has been effectively hijacked,” Levin said. “Leading conservatives have been purged from it. It’s become a joke.”

On Wednesday, as Breitbart News reported, Levin said most of his listeners would not know who Paul Teller is because he often worked behind the scenes reaching out to grassroots conservatives. He told his listeners to “just know they went after someone who was a patriot who worked very, very hard on behalf of conservatives.”
