Another Mexican National Sentenced for Murdering U.S. Border Patrol Agent

The family and loved ones of murdered U.S. Border Patrol Agent Robert Rosas, Jr. received a little more justice this holiday season as a third Mexican national was sentenced to U.S. prison for the heinous murder of the agent.

The case involved several Mexican nationals who either acted as a lookout or illegally crossed the porous U.S./Mexico border for the purposes of luring, trapping, and ultimately murdering a U.S. Border Patrol agent for the purpose of stealing his government-issued night-vision goggles.

One of the murderers was an illegal alien who U.S. authorities caught smuggling human beings into the U.S. Breitbart News broke the story that the U.S. Attorney’s Office was lenient with the illegal alien and released him on “supervised release.” The illegal alien committed the murder of Border Patrol Agent Rosas while he was on “supervised release,” a fact U.S. authorities seem to keep quiet.

Jose Luis Ramirez-Dorantes will remain in U.S. prison for 55 years and will be released at the approximate age of 100-years-old for his role in the 2009 crime. He was one of five armed Mexican nationals who sneaked into the U.S. or otherwise helped lure, trap, and kill Border Patrol Agent Rosas. The Border Patrol agent was alone, but reportedly fought back against the five armed attackers.

It remains unclear whether Border Patrol Agent Rosas would be alive today had U.S. authorities not let one of the murders walk free for trafficking human beings just prior to Rosas’ murder.

U.S. authorities previously claimed four Mexican nationals were part of the murder, now it is revealed there were five with one still being a wanted fugitive.

The National Border Patrol Council Vice President Shawn Moran spoke previously with Breitbart News on this case and stated: “Robert Rosas is what every Border Patrol agent should aspire to be. A hard worker, a loving husband, and devoted father.” He added: “He served the nation he loved and fought with tenacity until his finalmoment. He serves now as a Border Patrol legend and will never beforgotten by his brothers and sisters in green.”
