Steve Jobs' Widow Meets with House GOP to Push Amnesty

The widow of the late Apple CEO Steve Jobs is again ramping up her push for the DREAM Act and amnesty.

Laurene Powell Jobs reportedly met with about 20 House Republicans this week as they prepare to push immigration legislation that would legalize all of the country’s illegal immigrants.  

According to a report in Politico, Rep. Jeff Denham (R-CA) hosted about 20 House Republicans, consultant Frank Luntz, and Powell Jobs. Denham was the first Republican to publicly express support for the comprehensive immigration bill introduced by House Democrats, and he has been pushing amnesty.

Jobs’ widow used her first interview after the death of her husband to push for comprehensive immigration reform and the DREAM Act. She then launched a website promoting the DREAM Act and even met with Sens. John McCain (R-AZ) and Marco Rubio (R-FL) last year while they were writing the Senate bill, which the Congressional Budget Office determined would lower the wages of working class Americans. 

Powell Jobs joins other titans in the tech industry, like Facebook and FWD.us’s Mark Zuckerberg, in trying to pass comprehensive immigration reform. They have claimed that immigration reform is needed because the high-tech industry needs more workers, even though that claim has been classified a myth.
