RNC, DNC Skirmish Over March for Life

The Democratic National Committee marked the March For Life by expressing outrage at the GOP for even participating in the pro-life rally, prompting a GOP spokesman to fire back that the DNC’s attack was “pathetic and sad.”

First, the DNC tweeted:

The Republican National Committee shot back, saying “hundreds of thousands of Americans” came to Washington D.C. to participate in the 41st annual March for life and found it saddening that Democrats would attack those who are celebrating the march’s theme this year: “Adoption: A Noble Decision.”

RNC Communications director Sean Spicer told Breitbart News he thought the DNC’s tweet it was a “little pathetic and sad.”

March for Life’s Jeanne Monahan addressed the adoption issue during her remarks on Wednesday, saying: “Any mother in our audience knows well that motherhood is defined by sacrifice motivated by love for her children. When a woman is facing an unexpected pregnancy and she makes the choice to be a birth mother she is being a heroic mother in the truest sense, because she is making the ultimate sacrifice in the out of love for her child. In doing so, she helps another family.”
