Storm Moving Across U.S. Likely to Cause Travel Delays

WASHINGTON, March 2 (UPI) —
U.S. travelers battled delays Sunday as a snow storm moved toward the East Coast, dropping 6 inches in some areas.

The storm was moving across the northern Rockies and central Plains Sunday toward the Midwest toward the Northeast and mid-Atlantic states, Accuweather.com reported.

As much as 6 inches of snow was predicted for some areas, including Kansas City, Mo., Harrisonburg, Va., Trenton, N.J., Washington and Philadelphia.

The storm was expected to cause major delays on roads and at airports.

The storm brought heavy rain to Southern California Saturday, the Los Angeles Times reported.

Los Angeles received more than 3 inches of rain by Saturday afternoon.

Bartling said there was a slight chance of thunderstorms in Los Angeles on Sunday.
