Ad: Democrat Michelle Nunn 'Last Thing Georgia Taxpayers Need'

Ending Spending Action Fund, a group that relentlessly fights against wasteful government spending, has released an advertisement in Georgia to spotlight Democratic Senate candidate Michelle Nunn’s espousal of higher taxes and Obamacare.

“Under the Michelle Nunn-Obama plan, the IRS will be asking about your health insurance. And if they don’t like your answer or your health plan, sorry, you could pay a penalty,” a voiceover says before stating that Michelle Nunn is “the last thing Georgia taxpayers need.”

Republicans are in a heated nomination fight to replace retiring Sen. Saxby Chambliss (R-GA). Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin recently endorsed former Georgia Secretary of State Karen Handel. Recent polls have shown that David Perdue, a more establishment candidate, has a slight lead among GOP primary voters.

Breitbart News has learned the advertisement is a six-figure buy and is the first of many the group will run in Georgia.

Even though the 2014 election cycle seems more favorable to Republicans than the 2012 cycle, Brian Baker, the president of Ending Spending Action Fund, said Republicans should not take the Georgia race for granted in their quest to take back the Senate.

“The path to electing a fiscally responsible Senate majority runs through Georgia, and without question, it is important to educate voters about Michelle Nunn’s pledge to keep Obamacare in place and to raise taxes,” Baker told Breitbart News.
