Waitress Allegedly Attacks Customer After Bad Service Complaint

April 2 (UPI) — She probably cost herself a tip…

An Idaho waitress was arrested and charged with felony battery on a police officer and misdemeanor resisting and obstructing an officer, after she fought with the cops following an alleged altercation with a customer about poor service.

Boise Police officers arrived at PHO 79 on Saturday after the victim was allegedly struck in the face by 29-year-old Truc Huynh following a service complaint.

“She hit the customer. I hear boom. I go out and tell her no no no. That’s it.,” Pho 79 owner Henry Do told KBO.

Officers saw that the victim had a bruised jaw and confronted Huynh.

“When officers suggested they could speak in a more private area of the restaurant, Huynh grabbed a butter knife and stepped back into a fighting stance, verbally challenging the officers,” according to a Boise Police Department news release. “Officers persuaded Huynh to eventually put the knife down and she was taken into custody. After being handcuffed, Huynh continued to resist, kicking an officer twice in the leg.”

The original victim declined to press charges.

According to Huynh’s family, she has five children and is working on being a nail technician. She will likely not be returning to PHO 79.
