Ted Kennedy, Jr. to Run for Connecticut State Senate

Ted Kennedy, Jr., son of the late Senator Ted Kennedy, has told sources that he is going to run for the Connecticut state Senate’s 12th district seat to replace Democrat Ed Meyer, who is retiring.

The public announcement of Kennedy’s foray into politics is expected Tuesday.

Kennedy issued a press release March 24th, in which he thanked Meyer for serving and said he would answer speculation about his own political future within two weeks.

In 2013, Kennedy and his wife, Kiki, volunteered to help Andrew Campbell in the municipal election. The couple has two children.
