An autopsy report released in a wrongful death suit shows that Martinsburg, West Virginia, police shot 50-year-old Wayne Arnold Jones 23 times “during an altercation in 2013.”
According to Fox News, Jones pulled out a knife and used it to stab an officer during an encounter.
Jones’ brothers are “suing the city over the shooting on behalf of [their brother’s] estate.” Attorney Sherman L. Lambert, Sr. is representing them and filed a copy “of the autopsy report in federal court in Martinsburg on Tuesday.”
The brothers are seeking $200 million in damages.
