After Losing at Jack in the Box Moms Demand Claims Victory, Targets Chipotle

After failing to get Jack in the Box to ban guns in its restaurants, Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America claimed victory while turning its attention to Chipotle.

In early May, Moms Demand pressured Jack in the Box to ban guns after a group of customers openly – and legally – carried their rifles into a Fort Worth restaurant. However, as Breitbart News reported, instead of banning guns Jack in the Box would only say they “prefer” customers not bring guns inside their restaurants.

Nevertheless, after a group of customers openly – and legally – carried their rifles into a Dallas Chipotle restaurant over the past weekend, Moms Demand founder Shannon Watts tweeted at Chipotle:

She also tweeted

Problem: Jack in the Box and Starbucks did not “stop open carry in [their] stores.”

On September 18 Breitbart News reported Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz responded to the Moms Demand anti-gun campaign by asking pro-gun customers to be less flamboyant in the way they handle the issue. But he made it clear that customers carrying guns will still be served.
