Pro-Life Organization Launches Planned Parenthood Exposé On Capitol Hill

On Wednesday, pro-life organization Live Action released an investigative report and video on Planned Parenthood Federation of America that details the activities within the abortion giant’s walls.

The campaign began as copies of the report, entitled “Lies, Corruption, and Scandal: Six Years of Exposing Planned Parenthood,” were distributed to members of Congress. Both the report and the video are part of an effort to urge citizens and legislators to speak out against the U.S.’s largest abortion provider.

Per its latest annual report, Planned Parenthood received $540.7 million in government (i.e., taxpayer) funds in 2011-2012. The corporation performed 327,166 abortions during that time.

Lila Rose, president of Live Action, said Planned Parenthood has “an institutionalized pattern of dangerous and illegal behavior.” In its report, the pro-life group notes its own six years of undercover investigations and reporting that claims Planned Parenthood facilities consistently participate in the following:

• Covering up statutory rape
• Accepting donations for explicitly racist purposes
• Misleading and lying to women regarding the development of the pre-born child, the physical and psychological risks of abortion, and the processes behind adoption and parenting
• Aiding and abetting commercial sexual exploitation of women and girls
• Procuring taxpayer money by lying to media, patients, and taxpayers regarding the scope and emphasis of activities
• Facilitating abortions based solely on the sex of the child
• Lobbying for infanticide

Rose is urging local, state, and federal authorities to investigate and suspend medical licenses of facilities at which abuses have been documented and to subpoena ID-redacted medical records for underage patients at Planned Parenthood facilities in every jurisdiction.

In addition, Rose urges lawmakers in Washington, D.C. to immediately revoke government funding of Planned Parenthood Federation of America and its affiliates.

“Abortion is a sickening human rights abuse against both women and children,” she said in a press release.  “When I first began to go undercover in these facilities in 2007, I thought I would find illegal and harmful activity. But even I had no idea of the huge, company-wide commitment to abortion at any cost – the fraud, the lies, the cover-ups.”

“An organization that lies to women and kills three thousand children every day for profit can have no valid claim on a single American’s paycheck,” Rose continued. “It’s a grave injustice that our government and our president actively promote this extreme form of violence. It’s a disgrace that we are all forced to fund it.”

“Planned Parenthood is an abortion corporation, no matter what its gold-plated marketing department tells you. These facilities need to be investigated, inspected, and shut down,” Rose added. “Most if not all of these abortionists should be prosecuted – along with destroying thousands of lives, they regularly skirt or outright violate state statutes.”

“Our report shows where the true ‘war on women’ is – it’s front and center in America’s abortion facilities,” she concluded. “And it will never end until their doors are shut forever.”
