First Lady Michelle Obama gushed over House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi at a recent DCCC fundraiser in Boston, Massachusetts, calling her “fabulous,” “tireless,” “amazing,” “fearless,” and “deeply passionate.”
Michelle Obama added that she and her husband were “in awe” every time they saw the former speaker in action.
[S]he has become a friend, her family has become our family,” she said, joking that Pelosi’s husband Paul was like “my second husband.”
The First Lady reminded donors that without Pelosi, there wouldn’t be Obamacare, the auto bailout, or the stimulus.
Well, those bills were all passed by a Democratic Congress under the leadership of Speaker Nancy Pelosi back in 2008, 2009 and 2010,” she said. “That’s how all that stuff got done.”
