Harry Reid Scolds 'Monday Morning Quarterbacks' in Congress over Taliban-Bergdahl Deal

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid scolded members of Congress for criticizing President Obama’s deal with the Taliban to exchange five Guantanamo Bay prisoners for the release of Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl.

Reid reminded his colleagues that it was the job of the military, not Congress, to ask questions about Bergdahl’s disappearance.

Reid’s comments occur a day after many members of Congress, including the chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee Sen. Dianne Feinstein, questioned the details of Bergdahl’s capture and release.

It was better for the United States military to administer justice for Bergdahl, Reid argued, instead of the Taliban.
