Colorado Atty. General to Investigate Planned Parenthood Videos Coaching Young Girls in BDSM

The attorney general of Colorado says he will have his staff review the Live Action investigative video of a Denver Planned Parenthood employee coaching a young woman, believed to be only 15-years old, in the practice of high-risk sexual activities, including bondage/discipline and sado-masochistic sex (BDSM).

The second installment of pro-life organization Live Action’s series titled “SexEd: Planned Parenthood’s Dangerous Sex Advice for Kids,” features Denver Planned Parenthood counselors suggesting to the undercover investigator a spectrum of sadistic sexual behaviors, such as “whipping,” “tying up,” and “asphyxiation.”

As observed by Wayne Laugesen at the National Catholic Register, despite Colorado Attorney General John Suthers’ intentions to have the recent Live Action video reviewed, he lacks jurisdiction to do much if criminal activity on the part of Planned Parenthood is suspected. Instead, Arapahoe County District Attorney George Brauchler has jurisdiction in the matter, and local authorities would need to pursue any charges.

The video was released on July 15, just several weeks after a lawsuit was filed charging Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains with failing to report sexual abuse in the case of a 13-year old girl by her stepfather, Timothy David Smith, who brought her to the Denver Planned Parenthood facility and paid for her abortion on May 3, 2012.

The lawsuit asserts Planned Parenthood employees’ “multiple failures to inquire about how a thirteen-year-old girl became pregnant, or what her relationship was to the adult man who brought her to Defendants for an abortion, despite numerous opportunities to speak to the girl alone.”

Secondly, the plaintiff claims Planned Parenthood failed “to report known or suspected sexual abuse despite numerous indications that the man had sexually abused the girl.”

Additionally, the lawsuit charges the abortion facility administered a “long-term and undetectable form of birth control to the girl despite her fear of needles, all of which enabled the man to continue his years of sexual abuse of the girl without discovery or consequence.”

Smith was sentenced to prison in late 2012 after pleading guilty to two felony counts in connection with the sexual abuse of the young girl. No criminal charges, however, have been filed yet against Planned Parenthood for allegedly failing to intervene in the case of a 13-year old pregnant girl being brought for an abortion by a man. Without any warnings to the girl’s mother or child protective services, the girl was sent home, where she continued to be abused.

“We certainly are concerned with and follow up on mandatory reporting cases,” Lynn Kimbrough, communications director for Denver District Attorney Mitch Morrissey, told the Register. “The process, though, would involve someone filing a criminal complaint. The simple fact of someone filing a civil suit that includes that allegation would not be enough, because we don’t go trolling into the civil courts looking for criminal violations.”

The Register notes that the Littleton Police Department did not return multiple calls, nor did Planned Parenthood of the Rockies or its affiliate in Littleton.

The Live Action Denver video depicts a Planned Parenthood staff member encouraging a young girl, believed to be a minor, to try various BDSM sexual practices. The employee also suggests that the girl and her older boyfriend visit sex shops together where they would find “whips, ties, everything.”

In addition, the Planned Parenthood worker suggests the girl and her boyfriend watch pornographic videos together and even makes recommendations on how to hide the porn from her parents.

Similarly, a previous installment of “SexEd” showed the Planned Parenthood affiliate in Indianapolis giving advice to the undercover investigator, also believed to be only 15-years old, on how to practice BDSM and access sex shops and pornographic websites.
