DREAMers Ask for $25K to Fund More Confrontations

The DREAMers who accosted Rep. Steve King (R-IA) in Iowa this week are asking for $25,000 in donations to fund more confrontations.

After DREAMers Cesar Vargas and Erika Andiola badgered King about his opposition to President Barack Obama’s temporary amnesty program in an incident that was caught on video, they vowed to confront more Republicans and Democrats. During the confrontation, Andiola even tried to bait King into ripping up her temporary amnesty card.

“We need $25K to continue confronting politicians and holding them accountable, so that this summer the President can take bold action and keep families together,” they write in their fundraising pitch. “We don’t get big grants, so our support must come from people like you.”

As Breitbart News reported, Vargas said they were “going to continue to confront” lawmakers from both parties in the future to push for amnesty for illegal immigrant siblings and parents of DREAMers. Their video received considerable buzz, and the DREAMers want more of the limelight.

“We confronted Steve King, the most anti-immigrant Congressman in the GOP House!” they write in their fundraising pitch. “If undocumented immigrants can have the courage to stand up to him, Obama should also have the courage to act on immigration.”

King told the DREAMers, though, that the rule of law is what makes America exceptional, and the activists should remember that.

“Do not import lawlessness into America,” King implored. “We want to live in a country that respects the rule of law.”
