Concord Police Tell Jeanne Shaheen Campaign Staff to Leave Debate After Failing to Obtain Sign-Waving Permit

CONCORD, New Hampshire — Paid staff for the campaign of incumbent Democratic Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) failed to obtain a permit to have sign wavers outside the debate here Tuesday night, prompting police officers from the Concord Police Department to order them to vacate the area.

“Scott Brown’s supporters had the proper permit to be outside of the debate site this evening. Jeanne Shaheen’s supporters did not and Concord law enforcement asked them to move from their location,” Matt Mowers, the state’s GOP chairman, said in an emailed statement to Breitbart News. “You would think an incumbent Senator’s campaign would be capable of completing a basic task like securing a permit–but perhaps they were too pre-occupied trying to save Jeanne Shaheen’s sinking campaign to obtain one.”

Mowers personally witnessed the Concord Police Department officers tell Shaheen staffers to leave because they failed to get a permit.

Both campaigns were out in full force beforehand, and Planned Parenthood–a left-wing pro-abortion group that’s supporting Shaheen even though both candidates are openly pro-choice–had activists outside, as well.
