NYT Blasts Democrats Nunn, Hagan, Pryor, Begich, Grimes for Running from Obama

The New York Times blasted Democrat Senate candidates who are likely to lose their elections in red states against Republican opponents for running from President Obama’s agenda.

The Times singles out Senatorial candidates Michelle Nunn in Georgia and Alison Lundergan Grimes in Kentucky, as well as sitting U.S. Senators Mark Begich (D-AK), Mark Pryor (D-AR), Kay Hagen, (D-NC) and Mary Landrieu, (D-LA) for failing Obama.

What is lacking among these Democrats, the Times argues, is a sufficient defense of Obama’s record on the economy as well as a full-throated defense of the stimulus bill, the response to Ebola, and Obamacare.

Referring to Obama, the Times points out that “[M]embers of his own party have done a poor job of defending his policies over the nearly six years of his presidency, allowing a Republican narrative of failure to take hold.”
