The Secret Service is questioning a government employee who apparently crashed a drone at the White House on Monday, according to the New York Times.

The employee asserts he didn’t mean to fly the small quad-copter drone across the White House fence and that he lost control of the device at about 3:00 a.m. The drone then crashed at the White House.

The Secret Service had placed the complex on lockdown until the device was examined and cleared.

Traveling with President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama in India, White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest confirmed that no one at the White House was in any danger.

“Early indications are that it does not pose any sort of ongoing threat right now to anybody at the White House,” he told reporters at a press conference.
