Businessman Donald Trump declared that he is more likely to defeat Hillary Clinton in 2016 than other potential 2016 GOP presidential candidates. Trump, who said at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) that there is a 75 to 80 percent chance he runs for president, has been hiring top operatives in New Hampshire and Iowa ahead of a potential run. As Breitbart News first reported, Trump hired veteran conservative Iowa operative Chuck Laudner last week.

“If I run, I think I’ll win. I think I’ll beat Hillary. I understand Hillary, I know Hillary,” Trump said Monday on Fox News. “I know the weaknesses and the strengths. And I think that I would beat Hillary, and it would be more likely that I would win than somebody else.”

Trump, who said at CPAC that he thought 2016 will be tougher to win for Republicans than 2012, added, “I think the election is going to be a very, very tough one, depending on who the Republicans pick … We have to pick a very conservative, strong, intelligent person that knows what to do and how to make this country great again, because our country is in serious trouble.”
