Crowd Gawks as Teenage Girls Savagely Beat 15-Year-Old in Brooklyn McDonald’s

On March 9 four teenage girls beat a small, 15-year-old girl in a Brooklyn McDonald’s until she crawled under a table for cover and was later transported to a hospital–once 911 was finally called.

But the New York Daily News indicates no one called 911 while the beating was taking place–not even workers at the McDonald’s restaurant. In the video of the beating, four black girls can be seen beating the fellow teen and cheering can be heard from the crowd of onlookers.

After the beating ended, one member of the crowd said, “Yo, she’s dead. It’s a murder.”

The 15-year-old’s grandmother says the girl has already gone back to the hospital once this week because of equilibrium problems and a fall.

Police say the victim has “two black eyes and multiple bruises.” Yet they say she will not provide them with details about her attackers because she is afraid they will beat her again. They say the victim’s mother is also refusing to talk.

Police believe the victim and one other person agreed to meet at McDonald’s–perhaps even agreeing beforehand that the two of them might fight each other–but once the 15-year-old threw a punch, the gang of teens descended on her and beat her badly.

One witness says there weren’t just four teenagers beating the 15-year-old but “like about eight or 10.”
