Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton spent yesterday attending three different fundraisers in New York City, ditching her “Scooby” van for campaign events in Manhattan with some of her wealthiest supporters.

According to Bloomberg News, pop superstar Beyoncé attended one of her fundraisers hosted by L.A. Reid, the CEO of Sony Music Entertainment’s Epic Records.

Clinton also attended fundraisers hosted by Wall Street moguls Marc Lasry and Steve Rattner.

Lasry has a close relationship with the Clinton family, even employing Hillary’s daughter Chelsea at his hedge fund firm from 2006 – 2009. In April, Lasry told his donors that he wanted to raise $270,000 for Clinton in her first week.

In April, Clinton criticized hedge fund managers for paying less in taxes than the average American worker. “[T]here’s something wrong when hedge fund managers pay less in taxes than nurses or the truckers I saw on I-80,” she said during a campaign event in Iowa.

With a surge of campaign cash, Clinton has already made plans to return to Iowa for a series of small events with local voters. According to the Des Moines Register, Clinton will be in Iowa on Monday and Tuesday.
