On Friday, Presidential candidate and Democratic frontrunner Hillary Rodham Clinton posted well wishes on Twitter to the Muslims celebrating Ramadan–just one day after five military members were killed in the Chattanooga, Tennessee shooting at a military recruiting center and a U.S. Navy facility.

“My best wishes to those celebrating the end of the holy month of Ramadan. Eid Mubarak. -H,” Clinton posted.

Mohammad Youssuf Abdulazeez–the shooter–was a 24-year-old born in Kuwait, but became an American citizen and attended high school and college in America. CNN described Abdulazeez as a “devout Muslim.”

The FBI is currently investigating the motive behind the shooting, but television pundits have speculated it could be connected to ISIS, which called for attacks on American military members.

As CBS reported, “The attack comes in the final days of the holy month of Ramadan, a month in which ISIS followers were urged by the terror group to make “calamities for the nonbelievers.””
