An illegal immigrant sex offender in deportation proceedings is being charged with sexually assaulting a 14-year old girl after he was released on bond, according to reports.

Keane Dean, a 26-year old from the Philippines, was arrested last week in Los Angeles County after authorities discovered a 14-year old girl — whose parents reported her missing — was in Dean’s garage, according to the Associated Press.

The girl told authorities that Dean had befriend her at a grocery store and sexually assaulted her.

The AP reports that Dean — an illegal immigrant — previously served time for burglary and indecent exposure and had been placed in immigration detention in October where immigration authorities were seeking his deportation. While he was denied bond in December an immigration judge granted his release after he posted a $10,000 bail in April.

Dean was being monitored by GPS and was required to check in with immigration officials each month after his release.

This new instance of a repeat illegal immigrant criminal offender comes as lawmakers are up in arms over the murder of Kathryn Steinle, allegedly by a multiple deportee illegal immigrant with a long rap sheet at a San Francisco pier. The illegal immigrant alleged murderer was released from custody due to the city’s sanctuary city policies.

Dean was not released due to sanctuary city policies but rather a decision by a judge after he was granted a second bail hearing in April due to an appeals court ruling.

As Breitbart News has reported, there are more than 347,000 criminal immigrants at large in the U.S. As of March there were 168,680 convicted criminal immigrants who had final orders of removal but who remained at large in the U.S. and another 179,018 convicted criminal immigrants with deportation cases pending were also on the streets.
