Founder of Group Behind Undercover Videos: Planned Parenthood Hasn’t Refuted Charges of Partial Birth Abortions

On CNN this morning Center for Medical Progress founder David Daleiden said, “After three and a half weeks Planned Parenthood has still not addressed the claim about partial birth abortions which is a very clear description given by their senior director of medical services from the very first video that we produced.”

Daleiden also charged, “There is already a bi-partisan majority in the Senate to have an immediate moratorium on funding for Planned Parenthood directly as a result of Planned Parenthood’s illegal use of partial birth abortion to harvest higher quality fetal organs for resale,” despite the failed Senate vote to defund Planned Parenthood.

He said, “Planned Parenthood also has not produced any evidence that have actual costs associated with the supply of aborted fetal tissue especially when they are partnered with a middle man biotech company like StemExpress, Novagenics, or ABR that send technicians into the clinics to do the harvesting, to identify the patients, to receive the fetuses, dissect the specimens, ship them off. Those are costs absorbed by other outside biotech companies, yet Planned Parenthood is still receiving payments per specimen.”

When shown the denials of both Planned Parenthood and StemExpress that any profits are involved in the sale of baby parts, Daleiden said, “I think it is very cute that PP and StemExpress have their stories straight and that they are covering up for each other.” He pointed to a StemExpress ad on his website that talks about financial benefits to selling them aborted fetal tissue, an ad that was endorsed by one of Planned Parenthood’s senior doctors.

The new video from Daleiden’s group that was released this morning shows yet another Planned Parenthood doctor discussing the profits attached to delivering fetal body parts to medical middlemen. Melissa Farrell, Director of Research for Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast, also talks in the video about delivering intact fetuses, something that Daleiden says shows proof of a violation of federal law.
