The newly-organized anti-Iran nuclear deal group, Veterans Against the Deal, held a 300+ person rally last week outside the Aventura, Florida, congressional office of Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D) in hopes to pressure her to vote against President Obama’s controversial and highly-unpopular Iran nuclear deal.

Two of the keynote speakers of the event were wounded combat veterans Sgt. Robert Bartlett, and SSgt. Brian Mast, who is also running for the U.S. Congress is Florida’s 18th congressional district.

Brian Mast had some choice things to say about the elected officials who have stayed silent on the Iran deal:

Our elected officials are looking on to the evil that Iran has posed to the rest of the world and they are doing nothing about it…

We need to tell Debbie Wasserman Schultz, we need to tell Lois Frankel, we need to tell Patrick Murphy, that if they vote “yes” on this deal, that they will have the blood of U.S. service members on their hands.

They need to find the courage within themselves. It’s never too late to stand up for what is right. We need to show them the United States of America will still stand with our great ally Israel, and we will oppose this deal.

Rep. Patrick Murphy (D) who is running for the U.S. Senate, and not for re-election to his congressional seat, has come out in favor of the nuke deal.

Mast also called out his Democratic opponent Melissa McKinlay for making this statement about the Iran deal:

Protecting our ally, Israel, is a priority for me. But, until I see the end product of congressional negotiations on the deal, it would be premature to offer an opinion on something we haven’t seen in finality yet.

Mast countered by stating that, “Melissa McKinlay lacks the courage to lead when leadership is needed most. Her silence on this issue speaks to the kind of congresswoman she would be.”

Sgt. Bartlett spoke after Mast:

We must work together as Christian and Jew alike. As Americans alike. As Democrat and Republican alike. We must vote people out of office who are embracing death.

They are going to go down in history with Hitler, Saddam, and the rest…
