A Washington Post article about the relocation of Planned Parenthood’s new flagship abortion clinic next door to Two Rivers Public Charter School indicates the school’s executive director appears concerned about the images of aborted babies her students could see on the signs of pro-life protesters. But no mention is made about concerns of the abortions going on inside.

Jessica Wodatch, executive director of Two Rivers in Washington, D.C., and other school officials sent a letter to parents at the end of August describing a morning scene of “several protesters with graphic images” on signs near the school outside the Planned Parenthood construction zone, reports the Post.

Wodatch reportedly urged families not to speak to the pro-life protesters, adding that she is working with police to step up security outside the school.

“We are frustrated that we cannot protect you and your children from images and language that you may not deem appropriate for them,” Wodatch wrote to parents, said the Post. “What we can offer is that we will be relentless in doing all that we can to address this problem.”

In the letter, Wodatch reportedly said school administrators would be offering age-appropriate messages about the protesters, including:

Some people don’t like the organization that is moving in next door and want to share their feelings through protesting. Sometimes that protesting may bother us because they are yelling or showing confusing or upsetting pictures. … Those messages are meant for grown-ups, and not for you.

The Post’s story includes concerns of school parents about the pro-life protesters. Members of pro-life groups have been demonstrating as the nation’s largest abortion provider is under investigation by several congressional committees and Congress decides whether it should receive taxpayer funds. The issue has taken a position of greater national prominence since a series of videos have been released exposing Planned Parenthood’s practices of harvesting the body parts of aborted babies for sale on the open market.

Alden Nouga, a parent of a Two Rivers kindergartner, reportedly said the new abortion clinic is an opportunity to teach children about free speech and sexuality.

“It has been surprising how young children are when these topics come up,” Nouga said. “We should not shy away from it.”

Parent and Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner Tony Goodman said the school and the abortion clinic are working together to alleviate “harm from future unrest,” says the Post.

Planned Parenthood purchased the 26,400 square-foot building next door to Two Rivers in 2013. The abortion clinic will replace its former flagship facility on 16th Street, only blocks away from the White House.

Laura Meyers, president and CEO of Planned Parenthood of Greater Washington, said other Planned Parenthood clinics in the country are located near schools, a situation that allows the abortion clinics and the schools to “enjoy strong partnerships.”

According to the Post, Meyers added that Planned Parenthood educators work in many middle and high schools providing classes on reproductive health.

“I am a parent myself,” Meyers said. “I am tremendously sympathetic to parents not wanting anyone to be screaming at children about anything.”

However, Kristan Hawkins, president of Students for Life of America – the nation’s largest group of pro-life youth – believes the emphasis should be on what will be happening inside the new Planned Parenthood abortion clinic.

“Rather than being outraged that photos of aborted babies may show up outside the doors of their children’s school, parents should be horrified that the largest abortion provider in the nation is setting up shop across the street from where their children spend a majority of their day,” Hawkins tells Breitbart News. “Planned Parenthood has been caught on video not only harvesting and selling the body parts of aborted babies but also covering up the sexual abuse of minors. Photos of aborted babies outside of the abortion facility should be the least of parents’ worries.”

“The new facility is prime real estate for the abortion giant to start relationships with children when they are young, so that they can become future clients of Planned Parenthood,” she added. “They prey on young women and men, luring them into a sense of trust with sex education and free condoms. Planned Parenthood is really sticking it in the face of parents, guaranteeing an early entry into the world of casual sex and abortion.”

Wodatch did not immediately return Breitbart News’ request for comment.
