A new poll from Citizens United, conducted among two thousand members between October 16 and October 20, shows overwhelming support for both the work of the House Benghazi Committee and the appointment of an impartial special prosecutor to investigate Hillary Clinton’s email server.

Respondents approved of the House Benghazi Committee’s investigation by an overall margin of 91 percent to 7 percent, with nearly 82 percent strongly approving.

More than 90 percent of the poll respondents also agreed with the following statement: “Attorney General Loretta Lynch has a conflict of interest in the FBI investigation of Hillary Clinton’s private email server and therefore she should appoint an impartial special counsel to conduct the investigation.”

“The American people want the facts about the Benghazi terror attacks and Hillary Clinton’s email server to see the light of day.  Hillary Clinton and her cronies are politicizing the Gowdy Committee investigation just to distract from the important questions that are being asked,” said Citizens United president David N. Bossie.

“Regarding a special counsel, the facts are clear. Loretta Lynch has a conflict of interest as a former Clinton political appointee; and Barack Obama is clearly conflicted because he benefits politically if the FBI investigation goes away, as his recent 60 Minutes interview demonstrates,” Bossie continued.  “This investigation cannot be supervised by Democrat political appointees inside the White House and Justice Department.”

Clinton is scheduled to testify before the House Benghazi Committee on Thursday.
