HOUSTON, Texas – Houston vice officers have arrested and charged a man with prostituting a 4-year-old girl. The arrest came about following a prostitution sting operation where police have been hunting human traffickers.
Houston Police vice officers arrested Andrew Turley, 28, on charges of prostituting the young girl late last week. He allegedly offered her sexually on Craigslist, according to ABC-13’s Jessica Willey.
As part of an on-going investigation, a Houston police officer noticed a Craigslist ad in the “casual encounters” section. The ad was titled, “play with daddy’s little girl.”
Police officers made contact with Turley and over a ten-day period, they exchanged 69 emails. The person placing the ad advised he had a little girl under the age of ten.
After negotiating, the Craigslist seller said he was offering two hours with the little girl for $1,000, ABC-13 reported.
Police made arrangements to meet at a local apartment. Upon arrival, police were shocked to learn the girl was much younger than ten. She was actually four-years-old.
ABC-13 reported a Harris County assistant district attorney said, “Lying in the small bed was a 4-year-old girl, identified as a juvenile.” The prosecutor said the child appeared to be groggy and under the influence of an unknown substance. The prosecutor claimed the little girl was “in and out of sleep.”
Turley allegedly hung his head in shame as the charges were read in court. His case is being heard in the 184th Criminal District Court in Houston.
Court records obtained by Breitbart Texas revealed Turley has been charged with one felony count of compelling a child under the age of 18 into prostitution and another felony count of trafficking a child. He is being held in the Harris County jail on a bond of $500,000. He does not appear to have any other criminal record in Harris County. He is scheduled to appear Monday in court for a preliminary hearing.
ABC-13’s Jessica Wiley reported that Turley’s Facebook page reveals a photo of him wearing an Army uniform. He claims to have a toddler son and said he is from the Midwest. She reported Turley will hire his own attorney. His family would not comment when contacted by media reporters.
A search of his Facebook page reveals him in a December 2012 photo, wearing the uniform of an Army Specialist. A little over three months later, he is seen wearing the Army dress blue uniform of a 2nd Lieutenant.
