War on Cops: HuffPo Thanksgiving Front Page Stokes Flames of Chicago Protests

The front page of leading liberal new media site The Huffington Post greeted their early morning Thanksgiving viewers with a stew of anti-police headlines, all under the banner headline “Monsters with Badges.”

Later in the morning HuffPo had the same theme but switched the headline to the more festive “Rotten to the Core.” The wall-to-wall anti-cop, anti-white editorial push by HuffPost after two nights of protesters rampaging through President Obama’s adopted hometown demonstrations what Obama himself expressed approval for. The Chicago uprising happened after dashcam video of the shooting death of Laquan McDonald was released Tuesday.

Many of the links on the HuffPost splash actually went to other websites. Articles promoted:

The stories eventually hit on Chicago’s Democratic mayor, former Obama Chief of Staff and Clinton adviser Rahm Emanuel, who is being accused of covering up details of the shooting death.

None of the stories featured by the Huffington Post dealt with Chicago’s out of control black-on-black crime problem or even on the story of Laquan McDonald, the young man whose shooting death at the hands of officer Jason Van Dyke sparked the riots.

Here’s a headline that Huffington Post did NOT share with its readers: Teen killed by Chicago officer had broken, troubled family:

The family, who received a $5 million settlement from the city months before Van Dyke was charged even without filing a lawsuit, has declined to speak with the media. Robbins would not comment on the family’s history other than acknowledging it was broken up. He said McDonald grew up without his father involved in his life.

McDonald’s mother had been making efforts to regain custody of her son before he was killed and had been granted permission to take a younger sister back into her home, Robbins said.

“The mother was pursuing a petition to reunite the family,” he added.

McDonald spent most of his 17 years as a ward of the state. According to Illinois Department of Children and Family Services’ records, he was taken from his mother at age 3 in 2000 because the agency had deemed that his mother didn’t provide him with proper supervision. He was placed in a foster home.

The editors at the Huffington Post are professionals who know what they are doing: spending Thanksgiving helping to agitate liberal America and heighten racial tensions without actually addressing the issues that really plague the black community, including crime, dependency and family breakdown.
