Dawson, Georgia, Mayor Christopher Wright was implicated Wednesday during court testimony in the trial of a man accused of molesting and having sex with a young boy and a 12-year-old girl.

After the female victim named Wright as one of the participants, police investigators confirmed that it was the same man who currently serves as the Mayor of Dawson, according to a local ABC News affiliate.

At age 22, Christopher Wright was first elected Mayor of Dawson in November 2012. He won re-election last November in the town of 4,300 residents. Wright is the former chairman of the Terrell County, GA, Democratic Party.

Court documents list Wright as an “unindicted co-conspirator” in the case.

Wright has not been formally charged, WALB reports.
