SUMTER, South Carolina — Thousands of Donald Trump supporters booed their Palmetto state Gov. Nikki Haley, who recently endorsed Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL).

Haley was booed when Trump mentioned her name during his campaign rally on Wednesday night and said she was weak on immigration.

“Nikki Haley gave a speech a couple weeks ago,” Trump began, as the crowd interrupted with boos.

“Yeah it’s not good,” the real estate mogul responded. “It’s not good. First of all, she’s very weak on illegal immigration. Very weak. Very, very weak. She’s very weak on illegal immigration. You can’t have that. We need strong, strong immigration policies.”

Haley previously criticized Trump as being the “angriest voice” – telling people not to follow him during the Republican Party response to President Obama’s State of the Union in January.

“I am angry, I’ll be honest,” Trump said Wednesday. “And so are the people that follow me, because we have the most loyal people and the people that follow Trump are angry. They’re angry.”

“Remember this – we’re not angry people,” Trump responded to her attack. “But you get upset and you get angry when you see such gross stupidity and incompetence.”
